Some important points to consider when working with natural stone:

Use adhesive suitable for moisture sensitive stone ie Mapei Keralastic T
Apply sealers such as DRY TREAT during the installation process
Use stone friendly grout and silicones

Sizes are nominal and may vary between manufacturers.
